Reheated splints will not shrink, making it easy to adjust for bandage or edema changes.Splints made from NCM Vanilla have a moderate degree of rigidity. A circumferential splint made of NCM Vanilla is flexible enough for easy donning and doffing, yet strong enough for immobilization.The traditional coating allows splinting over bandages. The material glides into place without tackiness but has a light tack feel on the skin. A pressed, wet bond will hold firmly but can be pulled apart when cooled. Dry heating two surfaces will form a strong bond. For a permanent bond, solvent and dry heat is required.NCM Vanilla has moderate resistance to fingerprints and resists showing stains. To remove marks, lightly heat the surface and rub.
