- CAFE Ol by H-E-B Reserve single-origin coffee beans are limited crops that are sourced from around the world and roasted to perfection. The result is a flavorful, ultra-smooth cup of coffee that captures the vivid and unique characteristics of each specific growing region.
Sourced from the Lyamungo Estate thats at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro in Northern Tanzania, these CAFE Ol by H-E-B Reserve coffee beans grow at an elevation of 3,608 4,560 feet in mineral-rich volcanic soil. Coffee cherries are picked by hand and processed using a pulper to remove the skin. From there, the beans are moved to fermentation tanks for 16 hours, where theyre brushed into water channels to remove any remaining coating. After laying out on drying tables, theyre carefully checked before being placed onto raised sun-drying tables. Depending on the weather, the drying process can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. Bring home the gourmet smoothness of Tanzania coffee. Although a French press or a pour-over brewer is recommended, a drip coffeemaker works as well.
